Colin works with golfers of all abilities from complete beginners to those
playing on the tour. No matter your current ability, you will see an improvement
in your game.
It is recommended that you book at least 1 hr for your first lesson. During
this time Colin will assess your game and a personal development plan will be
put in place taking into account various factors such as physical limitations,
time available for you to practice, etc.
GASP Video Lessons - Time: 1hr
GASP stands for Golf Swing Analysis Program. At The Braid Hills we have two state of the art GASP computer teaching systems. These allow you to see your swing on video making it easier to diagnose and understand even the smallest swing fault. The computer graphics can be used to split the screen comparing before and after positions to monitor improvement. You can also compare yourself to a suitable tour player from our database. Your own personal swing file will be created which is invaluable when monitoring improvement in the months ahead.
Short Game Lessons - Time: 30mins or 1hr
It is a well known fact that the fastest way to improve your scores is through concentrated work on the short game. The Braid Hills has a purpose built short game area, allowing Colin to introduce the pupil to the short games subtle techniques by emulating on course situations.
Putting Lessons - Time: 30mins or 1hr
Putting is often described as a game within a game and makes up a large percentage of the shots played in any given round. Colin uses a combination of technical and mental coaching in an effort to help each individual realise their potential in this fascinating and often neglected part of the game.
Junior Coaching - Time 30min or 1hr
Colin works with the Scottish Golf Union, coaching its elite golfers through
the Academy programme. Since 2003 he has coached many junior international players
and his pupils have won both the Scottish Boys Matchplay and Strokeplay titles.
Colin is very committed to Junior coaching and sees it as a chance to put good
fundamentals in place early, helping make a real difference to the golfers of tomorrow.
